In 1971, Crumb drew Mr. Natural on a scooter for the Mr. Natural #2 comic book cover. It was later printed as a serigraph edition, and now it's available as a giclee. But for a t-shirt, Crumb thought it would look better as a circle. So he extended the fence and house in order to put Mr. Natural in the center of things–where he belongs.
Crumb also wanted the design on a light-colored t-shirt, for some reason. So we put Mr. Natrual on a natural t-shirt, so his white beard would still pop a little bit. These are Next Level t-shirts, which are exceptionally soft, 100% ring spun cotton t-shirts. Next Level t-shirts run slightly smaller than Hanes or Gildan t-shirts. The design is screen printed directly onto the t-sirt. This is NOT a transfer.
When a Next Level Natural t-shirt is laid down on a flat table and measured from armpit to armpit, these are the following measurements for each size:
S - 17" (34)
M -19" (38)
