She Skipped Church etching

This etching edition was released in 2022. This print, #38, is from an edition of 40. One of Crumb’s girlfriends told him about how she, as a young teenager, skipped church one Sunday, lay down in a field of tall grass and did what she wanted to do. She then turned over on her stomach and listened to the congregation singing in the distance. It captured Crumb’s imagination and he drew this beautiful illustration. The paper size is 11” x 11.” The image size is 6” x 6.”
