The Complete Crumb Comic Covers book
Published by Cornelius in France, this is really a beautiful book. Crumb is very pleased with it. There are 320 pages in this book, with most of them full-color pages of Crumb's comic book artwork throughout his career. Some of the colors have been reworked to Crumb's satisfaction, as they were never properly printed the first time. Some covers had never seen the light of day until now. Some covers are still in black and white. Warning: the entire book is in French, including Crumb's interview. But it's a must for any Crumb collector.
The book is 8.5" wide by 11.25" tall. It has a thick dusk cover jacket which, ironically, does NOT have a Crumb comic book cover on it, but a recently colored sketchbook illustration of Crumb selling his first "commercial comic book," Zap #1 on the corner of Haight & Ashbury. Shipped from Madison, WI via USPS Media Mail.
We will NOT ship this book internationally, as it weighs too much.

The Complete Crumb Comic Covers

Being a typical ugly American, I do wish this was in English, as I cannot read French. But still: the main point is the pictures, and they're glorious. I own a majority of those comics, but it's still a great thing, the covers are portrayed beautifully.
One of my old favorites was Despair Comix, and in this book, I discover a cover for Despair #2, which I've never heard of and can't find on "the google". I wonder if it ever got published.
