Crumb drew this illustration in black and white for the cover of The Mendicino Grapevine (for which he also illustrated the masthead) in 1973. But he just colored it this year–2023. We used all our powers to capture his color rendition with a five color process screen print–we backed some areas in white to keep the colors true and bright. We're using a Next Level Banana Cream t-shirt. This ultra-soft t-shirt uses 100% combed ring-spun cotton–it's luxurious. It's cut in the classic, California casual crew neck style.
We're very good color-separators/printers at rcrumb.com and we've done all we could to do justice to Crumb's famous "tree huggin'" image in glorious color. The rest is up to you.
Sizing:
When a Next Level Banana Cream t-shirt is laid down on a flat table and measured from armpit to armpit, these are the following measurements for each size:
